The engineering design of a new project shall all conform to the building energy conservation standards, and the construction of a new project shall conform to the requirements of the building energy conservation standards; The contribution rate of the whole industry to the resource-saving society has increased significantly. In this regard, some analysts said that this means that China's steel structure industry will usher in rapid development opportunities, is expected at the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year", China's steel structure annual output will reach 50 million to 65 million tons.

Steel structure is closely related to green building
At the 11th National Modern Structural Engineering Academic Seminar held recently, Fang Hongqiang, an expert member of the Building Steel Structure Committee of the China Building Metal Structure Association, said: "A new type of building system may open up the industry boundaries between the real estate industry, construction industry, metallurgy industry, machinery and equipment manufacturing industry and strategic resources, and assemble into a new industrial system, which is the steel structure building system that the industry is generally optimistic about."
Fang Hongqiang believes that steel structure buildings are representatives of green buildings. The promotion of steel structure is an important part of the development of circular economy in the construction industry, and it is the transformation and upgrading of the traditional civil construction industry. Steel structure building not only has the excellent performance of "light, fast, good and provincial", but also has the advantages of recycling. The steel structure has the advantages of high strength, light weight, good seismic performance, provincial foundation cost, large building area, high building quality, suitable for industrialization and standardized production, dry green construction, suitable for different climatic conditions, not affected by the construction season, and low comprehensive cost. The steel structure can also reduce the pollution of construction waste to the environment, and can be recycled in the whole life cycle. Fang Hongqiang said that the steel structure building is in line with the development direction of China's energy saving and emission reduction and circular economy.
According to Fang Hongqiang, steel structure has been widely adopted in the developed world and is known as the main representative of green buildings. In Europe, green buildings are called ecological buildings or sustainable buildings. Green building in China refers to the whole life cycle of the building.

Steel structure building technology advantage is obvious

More importantly, the recycling rate of building materials of reinforced concrete structure and masonry structure is very low, and the construction waste generated after reaching the life cycle of the environment pollution and the adverse impact on future generations has caused widespread concern and widespread concern of experts at home and abroad. In addition, there is already a shortage of high-quality mineral materials for the firing of cement, and sand and gravel for the preparation of concrete are in short supply in many places. In some areas, sand mining has seriously damaged riverbeds and destroyed vegetation.
Fang Hongqiang proposed that steel structure buildings should firmly establish the design concept of green buildings: According to the concept of "zero resources, zero energy consumption, zero emissions, zero pollution, zero site, zero distance", establish a new model for the development and construction of the whole life cycle of the building from planning, design, construction, use to demolition, and develop, design and build a new generation of modern steel structure residential building products that meet the needs of industrialization, standardization and industrialization.
Compared with the traditional civil construction method, the steel structure building has four excellent properties of "light, fast, good and economical". The ratio of bulk weight to strength of steel is smaller than that of concrete and wood, and the overall weight of buildings with steel structure is lighter under the same conditions. Steel structure is easy to mechanized manufacturing, high degree, convenient installation, short construction period, is a structure with a higher degree of industrialization in engineering structure; The steel structure building has little damage to the environment, good seismic performance, and is suitable for different climatic conditions and atmospheric environment; The use of steel structure can also save foundation costs, can save water, easy to control the cost, at the same time, can also be reused to reduce construction waste.
He compared the steel structure with the wooden structure of a three-to-four-story ordinary multi-storey frame structure building. "If the wooden structure is used, it is generally necessary to use 40 to 50 trees that are about 10 years old; In the case of steel construction, only six scrapped cars are used.
